Berfeld Limited is pleased to present the updated proposals for the new lakeside community - BURGHFIELD PARK

The outline planning application for Burghfield Park has been submitted to West Berkshire Council and can be found under the application number 16/01240/OUTMAJ.

Following initial consultation in 2014 significant work has taken place on developing the flood alleviation model, which will benefit the new homes and the wider community.


The proposals were shown at a two day public consultation on Friday 4 March and Saturday 5 March 2016 at Burghfield Sailing Club.

  • 201 open market and affordable homes
  • 24 flood resilient ‘Can-Float’ homes
  • A landscape led development allowing for a sense of openness to promote a lifestyle to include recreation and leisure
  • Installation of new flood alleviation and resilience measures and drainage improvements in the local area
  • A new Sailing Club building with brand new facilities, which will greatly enhance the experience and enjoyment of the recreational lake as well as attract new visitors to enjoy all that the lake and surrounding countryside has to offer
  • An area set aside for nature conservation
  • Replacement of the existing swing bridge in Hangar Road
  • A low-density development allowing for a housing mix of 2-4 bedroom properties, predominantly detached. With garaging and off street parking and individual large gardens.
